Mission Statement

The mission of the Wellness Ministry is to encourage congregants and community to properly care for their bodies.”

The interventions that the Ministry can perform include:

  • Visiting homes, medical facilities, and assisted living facilities to assist people in getting the medical assistance they need by networking with the healthcare system and medical insurance companies.
  • Providing education on medical issues and management in a classroom setting, via the Wellness Bulletin Board, and individually.
  • Assisting with Red Cross Blood Drives.
  • Guiding individuals and family members through the process of attaining medical support.
  • Providing guidance for finding assistance in medical care facilities.
  • Providing blood pressure screening with relevant education to promote wellness.
  • Maintaining emergency equipment at the church.
  • Coordinating flu shot clinics and CPR courses as needed.

The interventions that the Ministry can NOT perform include:

  • Providing direct care to a client including medical interventions, hygiene care, feeding a person, giving medications, and assisting with mobility.
  • Making decisions regarding health care options.
  • Providing house cleaning or cooking services.
